Just a few short years ago you probably only had one or two computers in your house. Now, you might have computers, wireless printers, game systems, smart TV’s, network connected blu-ray, iPhones, iPads, wireless cameras and you name it. No Internet at all?
This is a very common issue and can sometimes be resolved by “power cycling” your modem and router. Follow the directions in the correct order and it may fix the issue.
Step 1: Unplug the power from your Cable or DSL modem.
Step 2: Unplug the power from your Router.
Step 3: Wait about 1 minute.
Step 4: Plug in your Cable or DSL modem.
Step 5: Wait about 2 minutes.
Step 6: Plug in your Router.
Step 7: Restart your computer.
If the Steps above do not solve the problem you should call your ISP (Internet Service Provider) and ask them if there is an issue with the service. If there are no services issues give me a call at (757)375-6764. There could be a hardware failure or a software issue that must be corrected.
